Serpukhov-15 is a military townlet near Kurilovo in Kaluga Oblast, Russia, and the site of the western control center for Russia's Oko missile early-warning satellite system. The center gives early warning of ballistic missile launches, particularly from the continental United States, as part of Russia's Main Centre for Missile Attack Warning; information gathered here is processed at the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces center in Solnechnogorsk and can feed the A-135 anti-ballistic missile system's launch-on-warning process. A similar facility exists at Pivan-1 in the Russian Far East.
