Seuthopolis was an ancient Hellenistic city founded by the Thracian king Seuthes III between 325 and 315 BC as capital of the Odrysian kingdom. Its ruins now lie beneath the Koprinka Reservoir near Kazanlak in central Bulgaria, and the site is considered one of the best-preserved examples of Thracian urban development showing strong Greek architectural influence.
