Sibenik is a historic town in central Dalmatia, Croatia, where the river Krka meets the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the oldest Croatian self-governing cities on the Adriatic and the capital and cultural, educational, administrative and economic center of Sibenik-Knin County, the third largest town in Dalmatia. As of 2021 the town had 31,115 inhabitants, and its wider municipality had 42,599; it is the seat of the Sibenik Diocese.
