Siedliszcze is a town in Chelm County, in the Lublin Voivodeship of eastern Poland, and the seat of Gmina Siedliszcze, with a population of 813. The town received town rights in 1548. During the German occupation in World War II the occupiers established a ghetto there on June 1, 1940 holding about 2,000 Jews brought from several locations, deported roughly 630 of them to the Sobibor extermination camp in May 1942, and killed the remaining ghetto population in October 1942, with executions carried out at the town Jewish cemetery.
