Sirnak is a municipality in southeastern Turkey and the capital of Sirnak Province, near the Ibrahim Khalil border crossing into Iraq and functioning as one of Turkey's main links to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The area is considered a historical part of Turkish Kurdistan, and the city is mainly populated by Kurds of the Sirnexi tribe. Its population was recorded as 75,932 in 2023.
