Sozopol is an ancient seaside town on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, located 35 kilometers south of Burgas within Burgas Province, where it serves as administrative center of the Sozopol Municipality. It is one of Bulgaria's major seaside resorts and is known for the Apollonia art and film festival, named after one of the town's ancient names, and had a population of 5,410 as of December 2009.
