Cities of South America (World)

Cities of South America (World) collects this atlas's city entities that sit within the South America subregion of the United Nations M49 standard, region code 005. The UN Statistics Division's M49 overview page assigns these places to South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, the Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela. This group node anchors every atlas city already tied to one of those South American countries, from national capitals such as Buenos Aires, Brasilia and Bogota to smaller present day provincial seats, so a reader can browse the continent's urban settlements as one connected set instead of hunting country by country through the atlas's own country listing.
