Supetar

Supetar is a town on the northern coast of the Dalmatian island of Brac, in Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia, and became the island administrative center in 1827. Its 2021 census population was 4,325 in the town, with 3,415 in the urban area, and the municipality also includes the villages of Splitska, Skrip and Mirca, making it the largest settlement on Brac. The present town grew from a 16th century harbor used by residents of inland Nerezisca and became the island main administrative and commercial center over the 18th and 19th centuries; it is reachable by ferry from Split or via Brac Airport.
