Surigao City is a component city and the capital of Surigao del Norte province, in the Caraga region of the Philippines, at the northeasternmost tip of Mindanao. Founded on June 29, 1655 and chartered as a city on August 31, 1970, it had a 2024 census population of 177,333 across 245.34 square kilometers, the most populous settlement in the province. The city serves as the jump off point for visitors to the nearby islands of Siargao, Dinagat and Bucas Grande.
