Taguig, officially the City of Taguig, is a highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines, with a population of about 1.31 million according to the 2024 census. Once a lakeside fishing town on the shores of Laguna de Bay, Taguig has transformed rapidly since the early 2000s into one of the Philippines' premier business and financial districts, centered on the master-planned Bonifacio Global City development.
