Takengon is a town in Aceh, Indonesia, and the seat of Central Aceh Regency, spanning the districts of Bebesen, Kebayakan and Lut Tawar. It sits in the highlands of western Sumatra on the shores of Lake Laut Tawar, at about 1,200 meters elevation in a region known for coffee production.
