Tamra is an Arab city in the North District of Israel, in the Lower Galilee, about five kilometers north of Shefa-Amr and twenty kilometers east of Acre. Almost entirely Arab and Muslim, it had a 2024 population of 36,918, and although it only received official city status in 1996 its roots trace back to Talmudic times.
