Tenggarong, historically known as Tepian Pandan or Tangga Arung, is a riverside administrative district and the centre of Kutai Kartanegara Regency in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, on the west bank of the Mahakam River. It is the most populous district in the regency, with a population of 106,480 at the 2020 census and an estimated 117,308 in 2025, after the east bank villages were split off into a separate district in 1996.
