The Line is a planned linear settlement in the Neom development in Tabuk Province, Saudi Arabia, announced by the Saudi government in January 2021. It was conceived as a car free smart city roughly 170 kilometers long, designed to be housed within a single continuous mirrored structure with no streets and no carbon emissions. The initial concept proposed housing as many as nine million residents, but by 2025 the project faced escalating costs, delays and an internal audit describing evidence of deliberate manipulation by its own managers. Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund suspended construction work on the project in September 2025.
