The Valley is the capital of Anguilla, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean, with a population of 3,269 at the 2011 census. It sits near Crocus Hill, Anguilla's highest point, and despite being the capital has few surviving examples of colonial architecture because the territory's administration relocated to Saint Kitts in 1825; Wallblake House, built in 1787, remains a landmark.
