Thyrium, also recorded as Thyrion, Thyreum, Thyreon, Thurium, Thourion, Thyrreium or Thyrreion, was a city in ancient Acarnania, Greece. The Roman statesman Cicero recorded stopping at Thyrium for two hours while sailing from Alyzia to Leucas, and the surrounding history suggests the city stood on or near the Ionian Sea, as the first town on the coast south of the channel separating Leucas from the mainland.
