Tokol is a town in Pest County, Hungary, home to a Croatian minority of Bunjevci and Raci people alongside its Hungarian majority. A military airfield built during the Second World War became strategically important during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, when Defense Minister Pal Maleter was arrested there during negotiations with Soviet forces, and the base was later developed into an aircraft maintenance facility.
