Tonsberg, historically known as Tunsberg, is a city in Tonsberg Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway, located about 102 kilometers south-southwest of the capital Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. It is the most populous urban center in Vestfold county and serves as the administrative center for the county as well as the seat of the County Governor of Vestfold og Telemark.
