Toowoomba is a city on the border of the South East Queensland and Darling Downs regions of Queensland, Australia, 132 kilometers west of the state capital Brisbane. Its urban population was 142,163 at the 2021 census, making it the second-most-populous inland city in Australia after Canberra and the second-largest regional centre in Queensland; the wider Toowoomba Region had a population of 186,276 as of 2025.
