Trang, officially Thesaban Nakhon Trang, is a city municipality and the capital of Trang Province in southern Thailand, also known locally as Mueang Thap Thiang. It had a population of 59,637 in 2005, covers the whole Thap Thiang sub-district of Mueang Trang district, and lies 839 kilometers south of Bangkok.
