Truro

Truro is a city in Cornwall, England, the southernmost city in the United Kingdom, about 232 miles west-southwest of London, with 21,046 residents in the parish and 23,060 in the built-up area at the 2021 census. It was awarded city status in 1877 following the creation of the Diocese of Truro the previous year, and its cathedral was built between 1880 and 1910; historically a trading center through its port and tin mining industries, Truro is Cornwall's only city and serves as the county's administrative hub, home to Cornwall Council and the Royal Cornwall Museum, with Georgian and Victorian townhouses along Lemon Street among its notable architecture.
