Umag is a coastal town in Istria, Croatia, in the northwestern part of the country near the border with Slovenia, situated on the Adriatic Sea in Istria County. Known for its historic old town, Mediterranean climate and tourism industry, it has a history dating to Roman times and developed as an important regional settlement because of its strategic coastal position.
