Vahdat is a city in western Tajikistan on the Kofarnihon River, about 21 kilometers east of Dushanbe. It has carried several names in turn, Yangi-Bozor from 1927 to 1936, Orjonikidzeobod from 1936 to 1993, and Kofarnihon from 1993 to 2006, before taking its current name. Its population is estimated at 43,200 for the city proper, and 342,700 including its outlying communities, as of 2020.
