Villa Carlos Paz is a city in the center-north of the province of Cordoba, Argentina, in the south of the Punilla Valley on the western slope of the Sierras Chicas, with a population of about 56,000 as of the 2001 census. The Punilla area is a major national tourist destination, and Villa Carlos Paz is its most important city, favored by its closeness to the populous city of Cordoba, the provincial capital; popular tourist activities include river bathing, fishing, evening shows, kite surfing, windsurfing, hiking and mountain biking.
