Vinh is a city in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam and the former capital of Nghe An province, functioning as an economic and cultural center for the country's north-central region. Its name today refers to a 166.22 square kilometer urban area made up of six wards, including Truong Vinh, Thanh Vinh, Vinh Hung, Vinh Phu, Vinh Loc and Cua Lo.
