Vodnjan, known in Italian as Dignano or Dignano d Istria, is a town in Istria County in western Croatia, about ten kilometers north of Pula, the largest city on the Istrian peninsula. It is one of the more ethnically diverse communities in the region, and its municipal statute recognizes both Croatian and Italian as official languages.
