Waikabubak is a town on the island of Sumba in East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia, and the capital of West Sumba Regency. Originally part of Kupang Regency, it became the capital of South West Sumba in 1913, and by 2002 around 6 percent of the island's population lived in the town while 38 percent of its civil service was based there.
