Wipperfurth, also known as the Hanseatic City of Wipperfurth, is a municipality in the Oberbergischer Kreis of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, about 40 kilometers northeast of Cologne, and is the oldest town in the Bergisches Land. In the local Bergish dialect of Limburgish, the town is still called Weperevorthe.
