Wodonga is a city in Victoria, Australia, on the border with New South Wales, about 324 kilometers north-east of Melbourne, forming the twin city of Albury-Wodonga with Albury across the Murray River. It recorded a population of 37,839 at the 2021 census over an area of 54.2 square kilometers, while the combined Albury-Wodonga urban area reached 97,793. The local Indigenous Waywurru people's name for the area was Wordonga, referring to an edible plant or nut found in lagoons, and the city is governed through the City of Wodonga local government area.
