Wrzesnia is a town on the Wrzesnica River in the Greater Poland Voivodeship of west-central Poland, near Poznan, with a population of 29,483 as of 2021. First documented in 1256 and granted town privileges before 1357, it is remembered in Poland for the school strike of May 1901, when Polish children protested against mandatory German-language instruction under Prussian rule.
