Yurimaguas is a port town in the Loreto Region of the northeastern Peruvian Amazon, at the confluence of the Huallaga and Paranapura rivers. Historically associated with the Mainas missions and known as the Pearl of the Huallaga, it is the capital of both Alto Amazonas Province and Yurimaguas District, with an estimated population of 62,903 in 2017.
