Zirc is a town in Veszprem County, Hungary, and the administrative seat of Zirc District, with a 2023 population of 6,552 across 37.4 square kilometers. A Jewish community lived in Zirc from the late 19th into the early 20th century, numbering 92 in 1910, with members later killed in the Holocaust. The town is home to a Cistercian Abbey, the Bakony Museum of Natural Sciences, the Reguly Antal Memorial Library, an arboretum, and an ethnographic museum of Reguly Antal's folk art collection, and it maintains sister-city ties with towns in Germany, Romania, Finland, and Ukraine.
