Area Band

This dimension groups countries by how much territory each one covers. Wikipedia notes that "the areal extent of a geographical region is often expressed in square kilometres or hectares (as in, for example, the largest countries)," the same measure used to sort countries by size. Browsing by area band separates vast countries from small ones regardless of population.
