Countries of Western Asia (World)

This group collects the 21 sovereign states and territories that the atlas's own country entities already record, through each country's own SubLabel field (set when the country itself was minted and sourced), as sitting in the United Nations M49 geoscheme's Western Asia intermediate region. It is a single flat group under the Western Asia subcategory, not split further by any smaller unit, since Western Asia stays well under the atlas's own hundred-member threshold for a further split. It sits directly under the Western Asia subcategory and under the atlas's own Groups category, giving a reader a direct browse path from either the Western Asia subcategory page or the Groups index.
