The Cape Peninsula is a generally mountainous peninsula that juts into the Atlantic Ocean at the southwestern tip of the African continent, in South Africa's Western Cape province. It runs 52 kilometers from Mouille Point in the north to Cape Point in the south, bordered by Table Bay to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and False Bay to the east, with Table Mountain overlooking Cape Town at its northern end and Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope at its southern tip.
