Devils Tower is a laccolithic butte of igneous rock in the Bear Lodge Ranger District of the Black Hills, near Hulett and Sundance in Crook County, northeastern Wyoming, rising above the Belle Fourche River. It stands 1,267 feet above the river, 867 feet from summit to base, with its summit reaching 5,112 feet above sea level.
