Oasis glyph

An isolated area within a desert where a spring, well or other reliable water source supports vegetation and, often, human settlement in an otherwise arid landscape. An oasis typically marks a place where the water table rises close enough to the surface, or a spring emerges, to sustain life that the surrounding desert cannot.
