A steep, sharply pointed mountain summit shaped like a pyramid, carved where three or more glacial cirques erode a mountain simultaneously from different sides, cutting back toward each other until only a narrow, faceted peak remains. The Matterhorn is the type example most often cited for the landform this process produces.
