A flat, stony desert plain where wind has stripped away the finer sand and dust, leaving behind a surface covered in coarse gravel and pebbles too heavy for the wind to move further. Reg surfaces are common across much of the Sahara and other major deserts, forming a stark contrast to the sand-dominated erg landscapes nearby.
