Lierne National Park

Lierne National Park sits in Lierne Municipality in Trondelag county, Norway, along the Swedish border, established by royal resolution on 17 December 2004 over 333 square kilometers. Predominantly mountainous, with many peaks above 1,000 meters and its highest point, Hestkjoltopp, at 1,390 meters, the park combines large swamps and open woodland with extensive wetlands shaped largely during the last ice age. It supports lynx, wolverines, bears, waterfowl and the uncommon Arctic fox.
