Bandipur National Park is a national park in the Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka, India, covering about 1,456 square kilometers. It was established as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger in 1973 and joined the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve in 1986. The forests support Asian elephants, gaur, Bengal tigers, sloth bears, four-horned antelope and dhole, along with more than 200 recorded bird species.
