Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park

Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park spans Saitama, Yamanashi, Nagano and Tokyo prefectures at the meeting point of the Kanto and Chubu regions of Japan, established on July 10, 1950 and covering about 1,216 square kilometers. It holds eight peaks above 2,000 meters and ancient shrines including Mount Mitsumine, site of a shrine roughly 2,000 years old, and Mount Mitake. The park is the source of the Arakawa, Shinano, Tama and Fuji rivers, and its terrain ranges from Tokyo's Mount Odake to the gorges of Yamanashi and Nagano's mountain trails.
