Panna National Park

Panna National Park is a national park in the Panna and Chhatarpur districts of Madhya Pradesh, India, covering about 543 square kilometers. It was established in 1981 and declared the twenty-second tiger reserve of India in 1994, and won an Award of Excellence in 2007 as the best-maintained national park in the country. Poaching wiped out its tiger population around 2009, and subsequent reintroduction and protection efforts have since rebuilt it to as many as 80 tigers.
