Satpura National Park is a national park in the Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh, India, covering about 2,133 square kilometers across a 1,339 square kilometer core zone and a 794 square kilometer buffer zone within the central Indian highlands. It takes its name from the Satpura mountain range, itself named from Sanskrit words meaning seven mountains, and gained tiger reserve status in 2000. The park is noted for its exceptional diversity of plant and animal life within the Satpura hill forests.
