Gesäuse National Park

Gesäuse National Park is a national park in the Austrian state of Styria, covering large parts of the Gesäuse mountain range within the Ennstal Alps and the steep water gap the Enns river cuts between Admont and Hieflau. The park also reaches into the municipal areas of Johnsbach, Weng, Landl and Sankt Gallen. It was established on 26 October 2002 and covers 110 square kilometers, with a further 15 square kilometers planned. Its highest peak is Hochtor, at 2,369 meters.
