Burren National Park

Burren National Park is the smallest of the eight national parks in Ireland, in County Clare in western Ireland near the town of Ennis. It was founded and opened to the public in 1991 and covers about 15 square kilometers of the wider Burren karst region, taking in mountains, bogs, heaths, grasslands and forests across some 1,500 hectares. The park forms only a small part of the larger Burren landscape, which is also recognized as part of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark. It is managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service of Ireland.
