Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna National Park

Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna National Park is a national park in Italy created in 1993, covering about 368 square kilometers across the provinces of Forli-Cesena, Arezzo and Florence in the Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany regions. It straddles the Apennine watershed, extending along a long mountain ridge that descends steeply into the parallel valleys on the Romagna side and more gradually on the Tuscan side, with Florence as its nearest major city. In 2017 UNESCO included the park's Sasso Fratino Integral Nature Reserve in the World Heritage List as part of a serial site recognizing ancient and primeval beech forests.
