Lomsdal-Visten National Park spans the Bronnoy, Vevelstad, Grane and Vefsn municipalities of Nordland county, Norway, established on June 26, 2009 and covering about 1,102 square kilometers. Its steep fjords, deciduous and coniferous forest, mountain terrain and alpine peaks include karst caves, underground rivers and natural arches, and the park preserves evidence of human habitation from Mesolithic settlement 8,000 to 9,000 years ago through Sami reindeer herding and Norwegian farming, along with Second World War history marked by annual memorial marches.
