Ovre Dividal National Park

Ovre Dividal National Park lies in Malselv Municipality in Troms county, Norway, and was established on 9 July 1971 to preserve a largely undisturbed inland valley and mountain area of 750 square kilometers. Its ecological zones range from pine forest at lower elevations through mountain birch woodland to alpine tundra of willow and dwarf birch, spanning roughly 300 to 1,600 meters in elevation over conglomerate, sandstone and slate bedrock left by glacial erratics. It hosts all four of Norway's mainland large predators, brown bear, wolf, wolverine and lynx, along with reindeer and moose, in a valley that is the second-driest in the country.
