Pieniny National Park, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship on the border with Slovakia, is the oldest national park in Poland, established in 1932. It covers about 23 square kilometers around the heart of the Pieniny mountain range, with roughly a third of the park strictly protected, and is administered from Kroscienko nad Dunajcem near the town of Szczawnica. A separate Pieniny National Park lies across the border in Slovakia.
